Still have to plan the other places to see in Paris, but those are not part of the official trip. Getting the +1's input, since he has never been and I've lived there and been back a couple of times since.

My plan is ambitious, but I want to cram in a lot since it will be a long time before we go back.
I have booked the private tour. The guide and the company (Interkultur) get very good reviews. For those who have not been, Montmartre is the famous artist district of Paris and includes the Sacre-Coeur church. Les Invalides is a military museum and includes the very impressive tomb of Napoleon.

L'Huitrier looks like about a $400 meal! I'm sure it will be worth it, though.

Yes, a Panorama Suite. I'm getting up there in age and want to do these kinds of trips while I/we still can. I'm choosing them carefully. Canada on the Rocky Mountaineer train two years ago was amazing. Really the trip of a lifetime. This one promises to be, also. Paris will certainly bring back lots of memories for me. As will Normandy. And we will make some new ones at the places I've not been to before. The +1 hasn't been to any of them, so it will certainly be a trip for him to remember. Hoping to do another one a couple of years from now. Can't afford it every year. I have the fjords of Norway, a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi, and Italy on the short list right now. The +1's grandfather came from a little mountain town near Naples which would be fun to visit. We have both been to Italy, just not together.
