Default Packing lightly for a trip I can't do it, can you?

Well, I'm pretty much packed for our road trip. I just can't pack lightly. Two hotels/motels we will be staying at have laundry facilities, yet that old duffel bag is bulging with "stuff."

It might be cool three days in a row, so I'd best pack some long sleeve shirts..

It might be warm three days in a row, so I'd best pack short sleeve shirts, and have extra clean ones too.

It might be really cool, so I'd better have layers, jacket, sweater...

It might be warm, so I'd better have shorts or capris,

It might be cool, so I'd better have jeans....

Oh, one night we're in a larger city, I'd better bring better slacks....

And so it goes...

One week on the road, two pair sandals, one pair sneakers....that's not too bad....and this time even Rick has extra clothes!

But it ALL fit in the bag, so what the he$$. Poor Rick has to carry it all though....

Have fun on your trip, Lainey!

Only 3 pair of shoes...I think that is pretty good.

Oh, and make sure that you save room for your drugs...and Rick's too.

Classic over-thinking. The only extras I pack are underwear and sox. In the summer, I will bring all short sleeve stuff and maybe one sweat shirt to serve on chilly days.

Thanks Sue!

All that stuff is packed, and the passports are in my purse. Don't want to forget those!

I think you do great! When I go on a road trip, with only me in my S, the passenger seat even has stuff in it and the passenger floor.

Lainey, there's only one rule when it comes to trips. It is a simple one but the BEST one.

"Take twice the money you think you will need and half the clothes."

Follow this rule and I can assure you, you will have a great time! Works EVERY time.

Question? Does Rick get to FedEx his stuff ahead so that there is enough room in the trunk for your stuff?

All kidding aside, I hope that you have a wonderful time where ever you are going. Passports?

No. It apparently comes and goes. Or maybe I just missed it?
