The lack of activity on this thread is puzzling to me. Although there isn't a need for BS, I would've thought that being of the Viet Nam vintage years, and the draft, there would've been more of "us." I guess "vintage owners" must be full of 4-Fs and draft dodgers?

I was never in the military, but my father proudly served in the US Army from 1958-1997.

Hey Juk, you beat me to it. Add my special thanks to all who served our country in the past. You deserve all the gratitude our nation can express. Also thanks to all our future veterans serving us now. May you and your service never be forgotten.

Thanks!

24 years ago, today, I raised my hand and said "I promise..."
I retired 2 years ago. I still tell stories about those experiences.

ABSOLUTELY.

My grandfather served 29 years befor retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the USMC. My dad served a tour in Vietnam in the USMC. Had I not been born blind in one eye, I have no doubts that I would have tried for Annapolis and likely gone into the military. As weird as it is for me to think how very different my life would have been that way, I still have a deep appreciation for our men and women in the service.

Thanks to you all and a safe and happy Veteran's Day.
