If it doesn't just jump right out at me, I'm not spending any time studying it. If I need to think about it, it isn't worth it.

Have to disagree. I enjoy trying to figure them out, because most of the ones that don’t “jump right out” are USUALLY pretty clever. Being here in Virginia, where it only costs $10 more to have a personalized plate, they are everywhere.
