Peter Morgan, second generation owner of the Morgan Motor Company, died at the age of 83. Peter Morgan, rip.

I'm sure he must have had something to say about it. I understand that he had remained active in the company until just before his death.

Morgan was the featured car at the sports car show at the Gilmore Museum this past spring. There was probably three dozen there. Very rare in deed these days. I think I've only come across one while motoring in the past ten years. This is one of the few I've never had an opportunity to drive. It's always great when the tradition of a car like this can carry on generation after generation.

Hmmm...I'm afraid the only Morgan I know is a horse! But it is a beautiful car.
BTW - the Morgan horse is a beauty, too!

Did you see "War of the Roses"? The car that Kathleen Turner drives over is a Morgan.

Morgan had the worst steering system in the world. I think the new on does not have an ash frame. Nor does it have the sliding beam steering.

I didn't know about Morgan's weird steering; some British quirk? I think what Car & Driver said re the use of ash was maybe in the flooring.(?) The C5 Vette uses balsa wood (!) in its floor, and that reminded me of it.
P.S. Congrats, Bill, on sweeping the field in the FC auto X! Some fancy driving, and with a stock S to boot!! Makes you wonder: why modify??
