Yes, it is difficult finding a primary care person in Loveland, CO. When I switched from my Kaiser in CA health care coverage to uchealth in CO I gave up trying to get a physician and "settled" for a NP, Anne. She is wonderful and I'm so glad I have her for my primary care. When Michael's doctor's office closed last year she allowed him to sign up with her after I asked since she was not accepting new patients. You can send her a message and she or her staff reply within a hour. I've sent her messages at 9 pm on a Sunday night and she replies!

My PC physician is annoying me. Annual physicals aren't a covered expense and I get to pony up for it.
He just seems to be going through the motions and doesn't want to address anything during the visit.

It might be time for a change.

Medicare Wellness checks are a joke. Lab work, listen to your chest, BP chest, maybe poke around on your abdomen. Questions asked. Chances are if you have an ailment or issue, they are going to refer you out anyway. My doc does listen. We discuss if I have any issues with asthma, etc.

This morning, my SC sister and I discussed having an ortho guy on retainer, just for us.

hah, I do not think there was any actual physical contact other than his stethoscope touching me.
He validated I am breathing, do not have pneumonia and my heart is beating.
As I think of it he didn't even whack my knee.

Another kick in the tail. I checked with the primary doc that Rick, my son and daughter in law have. They won't issue a script renewal if you need one, prior to seeing a new primary doctor. You get to go to urgent care. What a kick in the a$$ for people who need maintenance meds.

Got lucky. One of the other docs at my primary care is taking on our son and daughter in law as patients. My son has an appointment next month. That works. He has some health issues and needs routine meds. My daughter in law will go in the summer.

Our hairdresser is waiting for a call as to who may accept her as a patient, and our friend and his brother are also waiting for info too.

Uh oh..gotta get the truth on this one. Supposedly, a friend's spouse has a colonoscopy scheduled and was notified they no longer give anesthesia. I would think/hope that means they don't have an anesthesiologist, so they can't give propofol? Maybe back to the old days of versed and pain killers?
