Default REDUX: Vintage Net Worth

Now that many of us have recovered ???? from the Financial Catastrophe of 2007-08, how about an update of this "oldie" thread? You may have moved up or down to a new category?? Here is my preamble from the OP in Nov 2003.

If a few people respond to the POLL without commenting, then the cloak of ANONYMITY will quickly fall over the survey

It should inspire some of those "sitting at the little table"...either to be impressed with what mature folks have been able to accumulate or scare the be*jesus out of them at how little

I've selected several categories...somewhat arbitrary but should be illustrative My understanding of Net Worth is: All of your assets [minus] all of your debts/ obligations. Assets would include real estate equity, investments, cash in the bank, value of material possessions, vested retirement funds, fair value of business interests, life insurance cash value, etc. Maybe ralper will further explain the "etc" and correct any of my layman explanation.

There are many reasons why some people may need to have a high net worth before they stop working, but others (with fat pensions ) can probably keep very little in the kitty. What do you think?
As the original thread ended it's run, ralper had suggested that the original POLL was likely flawed due to site software changes, so here you go...a chance to update your own situation....for better or worse.

Waiting for a few anonymous votes before exposing my penury. Checking back on the Kidney Stone POLL, it appears that votes are anonymous...other than tracking by admin...

Wow, a most popular non-Voting POLL, with 83 views and only 3 votes

Now that the VOTE has been broken, maybe the fearful will move in to at least comment. No one has to vote...

Or maybe - who cares. I never feel the measure of a person(s) is their Net Worth. Generally speaking if you are over 40 and (have/used to have) an S2000 you're doing ok financially... cause few would have it as a Daily Driver at our age. Unless they want to but probably not because they have to.

Be careful putting in your net worth...

The admins here might base your membership fee on it!

on this one. I am why the need for this poll? Is it to make one feel good, or bad? My net worth, IMHO, is how I have lived my life and how others, my friends, co-workers, family, and neighbors feel about me. As far as my bank account, it is NOYFB! As long as I am not looking up at the grass roots, I feel pretty good about my life.
