Gene, I LOVE your wood floors and wood trim and rock fireplace!! Beautiful. That's the kind of house I wanted when I ended up buying this one, which is a typical Orange County house. They just don't make them like that here.

Love it, Gene. Absolutely beautiful and yes, it was worth it. Gorgeous. I love the drapes and have considered something along those lines for my larger windows. Just too lazy to do anything about it.

^Thanks, Patty and Val, for your nice comments. We also love living here, and agree with people who visit and say it has a warm and inviting feeling. Now, enough remodeling!!!

Looks nice Gene, couldn't see much of the rugs. I think the curtains may "warm up" the area, however I liked the "naked" windows as well.

Thanks, Lainey. It has taken a while for me to get used to the drapes, but I kinda like them now. (I better!!!)

I don't think the new colors show up very well in my pics, either, so it's hard to really tell about them. Also, since I'm color blind, I wouldn't know if they are accurate or not! I also was not initially crazy about the fabric that the decorator picked for the chair, but I also have grown to like it as well. I'm told that it picks up all the colors in the rugs, drapes, and walls.

Love the fabric on the chair.
