I remember hundreds of B-29s flying over my house as a youngster. Some would rock you out of bed at night by flying only 100 ft. off the deck on their way to their final landing at Lowry USAFB in the Denver/ Aurora, Colorado area. They were beautiful birds. A couple crashed upon approach taking out homes near the AFB.

Glad to see that “Doc” made it, unlike the “Kee Bird” disaster in Greenland:

When I first saw that show, I had no idea of the ending. It was worse than Old Yeller.
