Good for you! Was your wife able to retire/quit as well?

She needs to put in 2 more years. Seems fair, she is two years younger.
She is considering part time, as we don't need her entire salary.

I'm three years younger than Rick. I don't plan on working three more years.

I would hope not; life is too short - live, laugh, be happy.

Thanks, Dave. Rick says, instead of advice, send money. My hope is to be done next July. Bite the health insurance bullet for a while. Life is too short and too unpredictable.

BTW he tried several different kinds of beer this week in ME. Most of them were the dark porters/stouts he enjoys..

Good man. Those beers are heavy but they taste like "real" beer. As for advice, I'd say, "Enjoy retirement while there's no one to second guess how you spent your day".

Back at work after vacation. It didn't take long to wish I didn't have to come back. I already have the kink in my neck from sitting, I'm dealing with the petty BS of working where I do, though my desk/paperwork was rather organized Still, no plans to work for three more years. No can do.......

The +1 likes dark beers. He had Modelo Negra at the Mexican restaurant we went to the other day and liked it so much he bought a six pack on the way home.
