Lainey, it sure sounds like you are ready for your next "job".

I am, but it really is about the health insurance. It's a big chunk of $ to dish out monthly until I'm Medicare eligible.

I've always found that I get a sign of some kind when making big decisions. Something that tells me what to do and when. So far I've not regretted any of the big ones I've made. It doesn't seem you have a clear direction yet, so maybe not quite ready?

If I'm getting signs, they are telling me to pack it in this year. Logic and reason suggest I should continue into 2019.

I'm getting signs too.........like I don't wanna do this anymore... I dislike logic and reason, they are not fun to hang out with. For me logic and reason keep whispering in my ear reminders of the huge expense of either COBRA for the better health plan as long as the company has a health plan, or purchasing a plan (for not cheap money either) on the open market with huge co-pays and deductibles. It would only be for a year............I want logic and reason to go away!

^ I think that makes sense...ease yourself out the door instead of calling it quits completely.

Yes. My thinking is full time January through June 15. Then off for the summer and then return to wrap things up. I made it a bit richer for me in case it is accepted. I think I've hit a good balance where I won't be disappointed if they accept it or reject it.
