It sounds as if it will all work out whatever she decides.

Going to take the next three Mondays off and work four day work weeks. It's rather quiet here this time of year. I'm sure I can find things to do on the days off. Can't take time off in March, boss will be away and then my replacement comes in on 3/18. Two weeks of training/sitting with her and I'm done. Once she settles in, if I feel I'm in the way, maybe I'll cut a couple hours here and there.

I believe the reason a lot of people say that is because now they:
Get up,
have breakfast/coffee,
read the paper,
shower & dress,
go get a haircut,
get home in time for lunch.
Before retirement, they got a quick haircut during their lunch hour.

So true...Rick loves the fact that he can schedule things at his leisure. He's way more relaxed. He's starting some of his seeds for the spring garden. Usually it was done kind of in a rush over a weekend or two...now he can do however much he wants when he wants...................he does have to make my lunch and dinner though. I wonder if I will have to find my way around the kitchen once I'm retired.
