Retirement plan status

I made it! It felt weird to know I don't have to work on Mondays again, unless I want to. Every day is a Saturday, or Sunday, my choice I guess! I stayed until a little after lunch time. We processed payroll in advance so that a little more experience doing that task could be gained. Went relatively smoothly. One glitch due to the way I entered my termination. A call to support and the necessary changes were made. My replacement is going to do OK. She is a lovely person, with good skills, and I'm sure the guys will do what they can to help, i.e. provide a little more information when passing over paperwork, requesting material. Tech support is available for software Bookkeeping and PR if needed, and I told her to call me anytime.
I had a few more visits today, gave and received some hugs, and received a few more parting gifts. Another gift card, a big jug of maple syrup from NY and two lobsters! We have a couple of commercial lobster vessels at our docks. I've known the two brothers that own the boats for a long time. I still call them the "lobster kids" though one is in his late 40's and has more gray hair than I do. My Zumba friend is cooking the lobsters and is tasked with getting the meat out of them....I will pay her for her services by sharing the lobster meat. Neither Rick nor I want to put live lobsters in boiling water.
Since I'm still on the payroll I took Rick for a nice late lunch at a local Italian restaurant we both enjoy. I'm on a lobster kick I guess, I had lobster ravioli. Delicious.
OK, I will now turn this thread over to the next folks who have retirements pending! Bill and???

Sandy retires in August. My project is about done so I am finally through with my post-retirement consulting gig. Time to hit the road.

Central Florida, Delaware shore, maybe western New York, New Orleans regularly, possibly South Dakota, Utah for sure, and anywhere else the road or rails may take us.
And of course Nashville, early and often to see the kids and grandchildren.

Thanks! Just back from the morning Y class, coffee hour and errands. Weather is rather windy and cold, but I may venture out anyway. A few things to do around the house first.
