RIP John McCain

Senator John McCain passed away today at 81.
A former Naval officer and Pilot, POW and Senator and one time presidential nominee.
Always a dignified gentlemen and a true American hero.

A decent gentleman. I didn't always agree with his views, but at least he stood behind them.

Today America lost one if it's true heroes, a man of great integrity, a voice of moderation, a fine statesman, a fine example of civility and a gentleman. Senator John McCain will be greatly missed.

While I didn't agree with some of his political positions, I have and always had a great deal of respect for him. I wish the example that he set wasn't lost on today's politicians.

Senator McCain, rest in peace.

I wish the rest of the Senate would be willing to cross the isle like he did. Maybe they would get something done.
A great man, a patriot, and an unselfish American.

Quite a man. To come back from what he endured in Vietnam, for so many years. To lead a public life, with all its accolades and pitfalls.

He was a political titan and endured 5 years as a POW. I have always respected him even if I sometimes didn't agree with his policies.

What a legacy of selfless service he'll leave behind as a Naval Academy graduate, Naval Aviator, POW, Senator, and Presidential candidate. May he rest in peace.

People die all the time but his death affects my thoughts more than any music stars ever could. He was born on August 29, 1936. He was 4 days away from his 82nd birthday. I hope he passed without pain. He surely deserved that after being a POW for 5 -1/2 years.

The average integrity score for the U.S. Senate took a big hit yesterday. The country has lost a true statesman.
