Civilization is lucky to have had Hawking as long as we did. Most ALS victims survive only a handful of years after diagnosis.

A truly brilliant man that will be greatly missed.

I find it totally amazing that he was able to do his best work essentially in his mind.
No writing notes to works out problems... just in his head. I can't remember why I went in the kitchen half the time. |
