Home safe and sound! Would you hit the road in that "fashion" again?

Don‘t think so quite like that, Lainey. I enjoyed the trip, though, saw a lot of places I had never been to. Have some good photos and great memories. It was a great drive, and my little tear drop trailer was the way to go. Coop did a great job organizing the itinerary. We also met up for lunch in Whitehorse with a couple my favorite S2k friends - Roy and Carol Milan <canberra>.

I just saw that! Bummer. Reading of the adventures of those here who have driven across country or long distances have had me in discussion mode with Rick. Should we attempt a LONG road trip when I retire? We'd not be in an RV or a camper of any kind. I'm guessing we'd be racking up mileage on the P car and points for staying in Hampton Inns or the like. What sights are MUST see? How long would we need to be gone? (house/cat sitter would be required) I expect to still have a routine of sorts upon retirement, would I do well on the road for what I would guess would be 3+ weeks?
I guess I will need to start a thread so those who have made this type of trek can give me their thoughts.
