S2KDays Travel Plans
 

OK. Just starting to map out by stopping points on my run out to S2KDays.

The run out and back will be a high speed burn, but I have a week to get from Seattle to LA, so I have some research to do. My POC in Portland is going to be in LA when I'm in Portland, so that's a no-go.

I'm going to try boondocking on this trip and see how it works. I've found places in Nebraska and Idaho, going out, and Kansas coming back, to pull off and get a few hours of shut eye and wake up to get a shower and change, so the high speed burn each way can be as efficient (and economical) as possible (Welcome Center (Kansas and Nebraska) and BLM sites (with on-site management (Idaho)). I bought a nice travel pillow with supports on each side to keep your head from leaning to one side or another.

I'll be posting some Facebook Live material, with stuff from the GoPro (wifi'd to the phone), as I make each burn, as well as the run up Mt Baker (nothing like running up Mt Washington) and of course, S2kDays.

Beginning to pack for our NW states and BC travel. Hopefully our feline will do well during out absence...we have a weird and dependent cat.

Packed for Tomcatt 13 and my quick trip to Cincinnati. :)

Wow, I understand that, we have three somewhat whacko, please don't leave cats. ;)

I have a friend stopping in every couple of days for my feline companion. I'm leaving next Wednesday for the Mt Baker run before S2KDays. Are you stopping there, as well?

Have to see what happens on Sunday. I may be going to visit Aaron. If so, I'll probably join you.
