Default For Sam (spt-s2k) and Carmen

If you are lurking, Sam, please give us a report on your family members in Puerto Rico. Or anyone who is in touch with Sam/Carmen. I'm not on FB, so there could be information there. Thanks. I am hoping for the best for them and everyone else affected by Maria.

We have not heard anything from Carmen"s family. With the entire island without power we are not sure when we will be able to contact them.
Thanks for asking!

Sam, if you are lurking, I saw this contact information for anyone looking to find people in PR - maria1@prfaa.pr.gov. Also telephone (202) 800-3133.

We are still unable to make contact with my wife's family. They live in a small town (Lares) in the mountains just over an hour west of San Juan.

I saw a report on CNN that a private individual (guy from San Juan) was going around to the small towns outside of that area to help people with whatever - mainly communication through social media so they can get in touch with relatives, etc. Lots of hardship everywhere and it's very difficult to get all the pieces of infrastructure together to provide help where it is most needed.

Same here, by now you've got to be really struggling with the situation. We hope you get good news soon.

I saw Carmen over the weekend at the Gettysburg Get Together and she still had not been able to contact anyone and was very concerned (needless to say). Hopefully, as they rebuild the communications infastructor every thing will be OK
