the sanctity of the restroom.
There are few places in life that I don't want to be disturbed. The men's rest room is one of them.
Today at work someone wandered in with their cellphone on speaker straining loudly, on hold with the crappy background music playing the equivalent on nails on a blackboard.
Is it just me or is this nuts?

Which part, the loud straining or the cell phone?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I can't think of a more satisfying sonic montage than a "Your call is important to us" followed by a loud sphincter-based fricative.

Reminds of my first trip to UC Santa Cruz, to visit a friend. Went to dorm bathroom to take a pee... this female student walked in and goes poop in open stall! Co-ed bathrooms!

You must accept everyone no matter what. That's the new normal.

I don't know. I'm uncomfortable being part of other people's cell phone conversations no matter where. The bathroom, the elevator, waiting on line, everywhere, I really don't want to be part of other people's conversations and I'm not really interested in what they have to say.
