A belated thank you to everybody for the birthday wishes and a Happy Birthday to you, Lainey.
This is a special Happy Birthday to Tomcatt We're all praying that you get the best birthday gift of all with an A-1 checkup.
And a Happy Birthday to my Dad (whose birthday was yesterday). He'd have been 72.

First off, a belated Happy Birthday to Ruth and Lainey and a heartfelt Happy Birthday to your Dad, Ruth. May he always remain forefront in your thoughts.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I had some good news today. I went in for a blood test, which would evaluate the CEA (a tumor marker that is indicitave of colon cancer activity, among other things). The normal CEA level is <2.5 and when I was diagnosed it was 171.
My current CEA is...
70!!!
Yippeeeeee!!!! *doing the Snoopy happy dance*
That's a good lead-in to tomorrow's CAT scan, which I'll get the results from next week.
The doc said today that his gut feeling was that thngs are going very very well, and he said I didn't have to come back to begin the next round of chemo until two weeks from today.
All things considered, it's all very good news, and a very nice birthday present.
Thank you all again for the support. It means more to me than you can imagine!!!
