Have you ever noticed that most of these " Best of" or "top five' review sites always have links to the products on Amazon. ( where they make a commission)

I'm not inferring it has anything to do with how they rated the products or picked them... No not at all!!!
Just an interesting coincidence I'm sure.

Sounds like you got short time with the sling?? How long has it been? I had mine for six weeks on one side five weeks on the other. Good luck with the PT. How does the shoulder feel?

Two weeks. Guys are tougher. Every surgery is different.

You may not recall it or not know it but I was set to have it done in 2015 and again in 2021. I put it off because of the drawn out time to heal and therapy. When I learned in 2023 that a total reverse surgery would greatly reduce sling time and recovery time over normal surgery I said Hell Yeah. I am looking at physical therapy for 6 weeks and that's it and I will be driving there to do it!

What do you splurge on? My biggest splurges were my 2005 and 2017 NSXs. This one is not in the same league but I love sparkly things and I don't plan to ever get married again. I ordered a lab created diamond ring. Lab diamonds are indistinguishable from earth created diamonds except for the serial number put in the lab diamond. I spent entirely too much time on websites looking at diamond reports and different online sellers. I finally chose a 1.4 carat oval diamond and a white gold ring from James Allen. They had a huge selection of lab diamonds to chose from. I think it'll be a couple of weeks before I get it.

^This is what it's supposed to look like.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Rotator cuff repair has a longer healing time, since things are stitched, pins inserted into bone, and muscles need to heal, arm can't be moved in certain ways. Getting new parts installed must be an easier surgery. I hope to high five you soon!

Enjoy your sparkly ring, Patricia. I just splurged on the new camera.

I've thought about updating my diamond wedding band a few times. Looked into it once, but the band has too much sentimental value for me to justify breaking it down to create something new. In the end, I guess I don't want something sparkly and new. If we had a bigger budget for splurges, maybe I would ............

Ah, yes! Camera equipment is pricey. I've gotten so used to using my cell phone. I don't really want to start over with a new camera and all that money. I also have looked into that and was surprised that prices have gone way up!

By the way, I took my rings and jewelry that I never wear anymore to a jeweler and sold him the gold and he is making me a new setting for the diamonds from two pairs of earrings and my wedding ring. They are yellow gold and I don't like yellow gold anymore.

The camera was not all that expensive. I stayed with the same type of camera which is now old technology, but I like it. It would have been a much bigger splurge had I updated my wedding band. Rick got lucky that I prefer camera equipment over diamonds.

I need to do something about my jewelry, too. I wear the same rings all the time and no plans to change that. I like the twisted metal on that setting. I have always preferred platinum, but white gold is OK, too.
