Paxlovid works, but be warned, you'll get a nasty taste in your mouth for the week you take it. I don't regret taking it after my last bout with Covid but it is nasty.

Hope you feel better soon.

Feel better, Dave. I hope the Paxlovid kicks in quickly. I wasn't feeling terrible enough to continue with Paxlovid in January when I had Covid. That metallic taste is constant.

Dave, I hope you feel better soon.

I am thinking that you were one of the first here in Vintage to get COVID-19 a few years ago.

How is Donna feeling?

Has she ever had COVID-19 before?

Hope you are feeling OK today, Dave, and that Donna has avoided the germs.

I had the final dental visit today for the implant. Digital measurements were taken. That is so much better than impressions! I'll have the replacement tooth in about three weeks. It's a long costly procedure, but I'm not a fan of missing teeth, especially where they are visible.

Looks like a lovely day here tomorrow. I think we will venture to RI to the lotus pond, the beaches of Narragansett, RI to walk, and maybe a stop at a beach where the surfers hang out.

Ironically I went to the dentist for a cleaning today which went great. Teeth are in good shape…except for one which had a bump above it in the gum. Hurt a bit to push on it but nothing else bothered me. Turns out there is an infection in the tooth which had a previous root canal. So guess what? Extraction in Sept and four and a half months to decide whether I want another implant! It is in the back but a pretty important molar, so guessing I will have it done. What’s another $3000…

Yesterday I cut the grass and today blasted the back of the house with a power washer, so I guess I'm doing ok. Took one set of the Paxlovid yesterday but I'm skipping them today since it's already day 7. I'm still a long ways from feeling normal, especially in the evening. Hope everything will be behind me by this weekend.

Must be the week for Vintage peeps to go to the Dentist. I went Monday and everything checked out a.o.k. You all are showing me what I have to look forward to as I get older!

I'm guessing you must have some good dental insurance? My implant with bone grafting and including the cap will total just over $6K, and from what I heard that is less $ than others in my area have spent. The oral surgeon did my bone graft at the same time as extraction, then four months later the implant, etc. The cost is spread out a bit with time needed in between procedures. My dentist does offers to break up the cost of the cap into 5 or 6 monthly payments to the credit card account. Takes a little bit of the sting out of spending that much $ for one tooth, but worth it to me.
