Shooting the Breeze 17-19
Columbus Day. A "non" holiday for me. I'm at my desk...I'm dragging tail, boat people are getting nervous with a "POSSIBLE" storm later this week. Our facility is small, we can only haul boats on a high tide and my head is already hurting. Rick is doing the grocery shopping today....as much as I dislike that chore, I'd rather swap places with him right about now.
I bought 2 tickets on a Porsche 911 raffle last week. The drawing was Saturday but the phone did not ring. Still I thought my odds were good, basically 1 in 1,000 chance. The 2 tickets were $100 but I liked the odds.
I'd like to see the sun, too! It's only been three days since it's been out in Loveland but it's wet, drippy and cold outside. One prediction calls for snow tonight.
Can't find a thread this belongs in, so will ask here and hope it gets read. Several years ago cell phones were advertised about a feature that I have heard nothing about since, and only know one person that said they used it. That feature is the ability to share files(?), pictures(?) or whatever, with another cell phone just by tapping them together. (making some contact, phone to phone) What ever happened to that? Was it deemed a security risk, or it didn't work, or wasn't popular? Anybody know?
iphone Air drop, works to share photos, no tapping of phones needed. We used it at Spring Fling to share photos. Not sure about file sharing. I do recall my sister tapping phones to share photos, not sure what ap that was.
