I had to replace some of the screens because our feathered friends like to dive boom them if a hawk scares them. Also being wood they like to shed their paint, especially when the flower lady I live with over waters the flowers that surround the porch. So I had to replace some of the trim. And of course, both sides (inside & outside) of the screens need painted "without" getting paint on the screens. And finally today I painted the inside outside walls and stained the concrete floor again. I've learned that solvent stain holds up better than water based stain over time. But I used water based and its too late to turn back the clock. And the best part, I'll bet my friends and family can't tell we busted our butts to make it look just like it did before!

Only for you Emil. Just to prove the snow has melted and the painters tape is still on the bottom.

^ 8-2-2019. Just to prove Ricky is actually here in Colorado, helped me put my fountain back up since my weak arm wouldn't let me do it by myself, and that he hung a new shade we bought at Home Depot yesterday so we can sit outside and the afternoon sun. I do get a few mosquito bites but I don't ever see any mosquitoes.

That screen looks like the one we put up. I did have to make the crank arm longer.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed last Thursday changing the classification for the Denver metro area and the northern communities of Colorado because air quality standards have not been met by the state. The results of air quality have been changed to “Serious”, that's up from “Moderate”, which is probably due to the Denver Metro and its northern area’s need to improve mass transportation and energy usage. The growing population, concentrated road traffic, and the EPA’s most recent neglect of imposing air quality standards has taken its toll.

I’m trying to help by owning hybrid vehicles, electric lawn maintenance items, regulating home energy usage, and planning my travels in order to conserve energy.

Denver and its surrounding areas need to get something done soon by emission regulations or by imposing air quality improvements.

This is a post from a friend of mine, who was a nurse, then became a teacher of nurses. I thought it was interesting because often people point to the Canadian health system as one we should copy and/or envy. This was an eye opener. This is to be informative, not political.

"Spent a few days in a Canadian hospital and had surgery last week. As a former nursing educator it was shocking to me how far behind a major teaching university hospital is in British Columbia. I was treated very well and everyone was so kind. However, they are still doing 100% paper charting, and there are no limits on nursing ratios with nurse carrying loads up to 10 patients! I was given XXXXXXX, a first generation antibiotic for my compound fracture and given meds many times without nurses checking my name band or asking my name. There is no bar coding at all. There is little to no safety checking. Nurses only gloved and did not wash hands upon entering room. I was never offered a bath. On my surgical floor often there was only one RN and a new grad or student nurse. The nurses are required to rotate shifts regularly from nights to days within the same week! The nurses feel like no one cares about them even though they fight for better conditions. It is 20th century medicine in a 21st century world! It seems as though evidence-based practice has not been incorporated into the government - run healthcare system. This should be a clarion call for how medicine can be improved in our changing healthcare landscape. The importance of science to improve better patient outcomes. This has nothing to do with partisanship and politics but rather how we want to be treated in our times of sickness and need. This is for information only."

Hey easy Emil, I am just sharing interesting info observed by one person, albeit a professional. This is not a dig on your country (which I really like, BTW)
And your drugs are cheaper. Please chill.

Looks like the CA transplants brought everything with them.
