Boy, I don't know about the rest of the country but we've had day-after-day-after-day of wonderful top-down weather. The wife and I have been out day and night enjoying it.

My nephew (currently in Seattle) has been going through the loooonnng hiring process to take a job here in DC. It's been about a year and a half, but the end of the tunnel is in sight. He will be moving in Sept. The +1 and I will be very happy to have him here with his family. His two little girls are adorable. And he's a great guy.

A helicopter has been flying around here (Iwo Jima, Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon) yesterday and now this morning. Wasn't sure why, but just noticed two guys hanging out the door filming. It just hovered above the Iwo Jima. Guess it's for a movie. He has come so close I feel the vibrations of the rotors!
EDIT - Just noticed it's a US Park Police helicopter. Not sure what they are up to.

The S is now Rick's daily driver. My Jeep had some issues to be checked, he has it at the shop, so I've been driving the S the last two days. His "commute" to work is better than mine, he drives on scenic, country roads, so he really enjoys the S. My "commute" is short, but I have stop lights, and bumpy city roads. We've had rain the last two days, so the top is up. Man, does that car rattle when the top is up. It does rattle more now than in the past. Is the answer new roof latches? I have to admit, I don't think I'd want the S to be my daily driver.

I was just looking at cell phones and accessories.
they listed "Universal Vegan Leather Pouch with belt clip"
Frankly I was more than a little surprised by this; first off I wasn't aware it was legal to harvest vegans and I also didn't know you could get much leather out of 'em...
It's got to be really delicate stuff.
