we can wait for Tof to weigh in but I suspect the cat was more like over-grilled sausage.

"unfortunate situation"

http://www.autonews.com/article/2018...n-deposits-for

The buyers will probably be made whole as far as their deposit but without the car they have been waiting for.

It will be interesting who ponies up the money Dave,
I'm not sure the dealership would have insurance to cover it and I'm not sure there was any money left.

I had a bit of a scare over the last few days.
Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday I was getting bright flashes in my right eye along with distorted vision.
At first I thought it might be a coming migraine then I did a little research. I also developed a stuck floater in my vision.
it starting looking a lot like detached retina symptoms.
I went to the ophthalmologist today.
I was a little surprised when I described the symptoms when they said " Can you come in immediately?"
The doctor said I did have a real big floater and a did not have a detached retina.
I did learn that there are fibers that run from the back of the eye to the iris connecting them together.
Sometimes they break. As they flap around, they pull at the retina and that causes the bright flashes.
The pulling action also distorts the retina and that screws up your vision.
The bundled up fiber causes the big black stuck floater.
No corrective action is required as it will clear up by itself in a few weeks/months.

So in the end, meh no big deal.
it was, however a tad disconcerting. but I got to add to my collection of ologists.

Damn, you guys are old. Well, at least your eyes are old. Having had floaters and flashers, its scary. But when it comes to eyes there is so many successful stories I wouldn't worry too much no matter what happens. It totally amazes me when I look stuff up because my wife has to have cornea transplant and when I watch videos of that it blows me away.

I was afraid I was going to have a black eye, at the least, tonight. I was laying down on my back on the bed. I called for my lovely, Leo, my lunker cat, to come visit me. Just as he meowed and came up to join me, after a few minutes, just to let me know he wasn't a dog and didn't come when called, he did a heafty burnout on my nose and right eye and jumped off the bed. Something spooked him, which usually means my teenager black cat, Atticus, was about to come up too. It hasn't bruised and it quit hurting. Phew. I didn't want to show up in San Francisco
for NSXPO on Thursday with a purple and yellow eye.
