So another thing I've got to look forward to.

This vehicle was parked next to me when I returned from getting a haircut. The sign is written in the old Germanic Runic script. it says,”Larsson Design”, representing the Larson Design Group.

What kind of car is that? I think that is the first time I have ever asked that question.

I think it's a Scion, just from the center of the wheel.

Just another day in retirement. Our weather still sucks, the heat is still running but at least it's not snowing. One of the Y ladies has a time share in Newport, RI. She invited a few of us to visit and to wander around Newport and have lunch. Not the best day for Newport, not spring like, but still so much fun. She had the ingredients for mimosas at the ready. Orange mango juice (really tasty) to go with the champagne. She had sliced strawberries and served a "chocolate" dip that turned out to be hummus. I'm not a fan of hummus, but it wasn't half bad.

After our mimosas, and social time, we roamed the streets and shops of Newport. We were in the downtown area, not near the mansions. We have all visited several of the mansions over the years.
A tasty lunch and a little more time in the city, a little goofing off was called for.
Yes, retirement does not suck! It's a beautiful thing. It makes me smile! Pic grabbed from my friend's FB page.

Our next trip will involve a small ferry, a cheap fare and a ride over to Fort Adams, Jamestown, RI and back to Newport. She knows Newport well and all of us enjoyed the day and the walking around.

I like Newport in the winter. The streets are empty and so are the restaurants.
No waiting in line and they really, really, want your business.
So good prices and great service with no waiting.

Was not crowded at all. We were the only ones in the restaurant at lunch. Not a fan of crowds. We avoid most of those places (tourist areas) in the summer, but may venture out mid-week now that we can.
