He's beautiful, Gary. Most cats sleep quite a bit, even during the day, don't they? Google says they sleep an average 15 hours per day. Thelma naps a LOT! She is up in the AM, usually by 6:00 or so, maybe she's up until 9:00 then she's off for a nap. Sometimes she's up in the middle of the day, then before long selects another spot for yet another nap. She'll be awake at dinnertime, takes a nap with Rick after dinner, then will be up until bedtime.

Thelma has a nice schedule.

Lainey, maybe you will be joining Thelma in just a few weeks.

We went to dinner last night and I had a wonderful bone-in rib-eye.
Since we were in a public place I didn't pick up the bone and nibble away the meat near the bone.
of course this meant a doggie bag for Titan.
The speed and efficiency that he made it disappear in it's entirety was remarkable.
In under ten minutes it was just gone, bone included.

Where is Tonks? I am more than happy for you to stay at my house! I am flying to Orlando on Thursday and won't be home until Tuesday but if you need a place to stay you're welcome to use my house, even when I"m gone. I have a guest room for you.

Tonks is in the Denver area.
Tonks - English Mastiff (new to rescue - under evaluation) | Big Dogs Huge Paws, Inc

Not like buying a putter online and saying ship it. In fact some airlines won't transport mastiffs. i.e. united explicitly say no.
so i have to plan a drive. so first will be approval, then will be logistics planning.

yes, yes it will.
fly out and rent one-way, rather expensive.
shipping/flying isn't really viable.
drive out and back 4k miles, so 4 days minimum of driving.
bolton ->chicago ->denver
denver ->chicago ->bolton
each leg is 1k miles. so what 10 hours a day? in my dreams maybe.
although if i got the go ahead i would head out thursday morning.

I got an initial response from the shelter.
There rules say ALL of the other animals in the household have to be neutered in order to adopt.
Apparently that includes AKC registered show dogs. and CATS.

For the money involved between travel and adoption fees I could buy another pure bred mastiff but I would rather rescue.
Trying to reason with them. I think sometimes they get carried away.

That is just plain stupid! Besides, how would they know?
