Lainey, I feel for you. Cats. They can be heartbreaking when you just want to help them but they don't cooperate. It's hard to get Talia to the vet, too. When I had skitty Zion, it sometimes took three appointments to finally get him in the carrier and to the vet.

I was bawling at first when I had to give Atticus meds. I gave up entirely on a pill. He seems to understand that he needs the diuretic liquid squirt in his mouth twice a day and he's made that easy for me, now that I figured out where and how to do it. He doesn't fight me anymore. If it was Talia she'd never get the medicine. You can only do what your cat lets you do.

So true. Morgan has been the most challenging cat we ever had.
Our first one was so laid back about some things. The vet was just around the corner. I could put her on the seat of the car and she just sat there. We'd get to the vet and she'd sit on the bench next to me while we waited, totally not bothered by any other animals. Liquid medication for thyroid issue worked, impossible to pill.

Cat #2 Mozie was the one that had frequent UTI's not pleasant to deal with that. Fought her often to get pills down her throat. Rick finally realized she didn't drink much water and once we switched her to wet food, no more issues.

Cat #3 Thelma. Much more skittish than other cats, but would be a lap cat if you had a blanket on your lap. Very few medical issues.

And then there is Cat #4. Morgan.

I do have an appointment for Morgan at the vet's tomorrow. IF I get her there and she cooperates, I'll ask for a cortisone shot, assuming her skin is itchy.

Meanwhile, I did get one dose of the liquid prozac into her. She didn't puke it up. It's an every other day dose so I'll be hopeful I can get more into her on Friday.

Edit: I realized I wasn't giving the full dose, so I had another chance. I got it in her and a little while later.........

I think I've already done this, but I'll call the compounding pharmacy and ask for sample treats in the flavors in which they can compound the medication.

I enjoyed sleeping a little late this morning then phoebe decided to come join me.
I laid there half asleep petting scratching her, that is until chance decided to join the party.
He desperately wants to play with them. They don't share his enthusiasm for his style of play.
This morning though phoebe didn't move, chance jumped up on the bed and say on her.
A little Jealousy may also be in play here.

Tonight Chance was laying in TV room, Phoebe was in the kitchen. I picked up Phoebe and sat in chair with her in my lap next to Chance who was beside the chair.
After a little bit, he had to get up and look straight at her all up in her face. ( Like 3")
If I was petting him, we're cool but if I'm petting Phoebe, suddenly he's all arrroooo and barking. Stop petting Phoebe, we're cool again.
I have a jealous dog.

Ticks. In the past week and half we have had three ticks show up in the house. All three in our first floor bathroom. Not good. What's even stranger is our dog never goes into the bathroom. She has to be the one bringing them in (?). She is constantly into areas they like - moist leaves, heavy low brush, etc. We are now checking her every single time she comes in. Yesterday I blew, as best I could, leaves out of her area (near impossible to do).
