No, Patty, I've been trying to schedule an appointment with my dermatologist, but his office has been closed the last two days. Hopefully tomorrow. This growth on the side of my head is worrisome.

Is it different than other places? Did you notice it first or the dermatologist?

It's on the side of my head about an inch behind my right eye. I noticed it first. If my dermatologist had seen it, he would have dealt with it. My guess is that it will require Mohs surgery. I just spoke with my dermatologist's office. He is on vacation. I have an appointment on 3/12.

We have to be aware of our skin, don't we. Self preservation.
I have an itching to share photos. Great ones with the cuts, guts and stitches. I texted them to my sister ("Okay that had my stomach flip"), my daughter (Jeez and Dang!) and my boyfriend (How are you doing?). Gotta send them to my son and daughter-in-law.

Yes! I am so glad that I noticed something very different from anything I had ever had before. I noticed it the beginning of January and I very quickly called to make an appointment. I wanted it checked before my yearly skin check the end of May.
I was seen by the dermatologist on January 25.
Biopsy results were back by January 30, showing "well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma."
I had the excision on February 7, so only about a month from when the lesion suddenly popped up. Of course, I realize that something was probably going on underneath that I could not see.
I'm so glad that I was observant and got it taken care of very quickly.

No full frontal just a little red incision gore and stitches. No biggie to me but some people are sensitive and don't want to see it. I posted photos on my Facebook page but you're not on Facebook, are you?
Some information on Niacinamide that my dermatologist gave me when asked him about it. I started taking it yesterday. Oh, and a photo of my weird bruise from the incision on the basal cell carcinoma. It's over an inch below the actual slice.
FYI, Niacinamide, also called nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B3. It's found in many foods including meat, fish, milk, eggs, green vegetables, and cereals. Niacinamide is required for the function of fats and sugars in the body and to maintain healthy cells.
^Bought on Amazon.
^WTH? I sent a text with a photo to my dermatologist. That just seems so odd to have that black line bruise below the actual incision.
