Default Sometimes, late at night.

Sometimes late at night, when I have the road all to myself, I press down on the accelerator, go down a gear, and find myself thinking about the times before there was so much traffic and congestion.

I grew up in Brooklyn. There weren

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I found it harder over time to find back roads. I used to run the twistys around Willimsburg in my TR3 until the area exploded with development. There are still good roads but you have to search a little harder.

Bat,

I'll be down that way over Thanksgiving. Want to see some good roads in Edgecome, Pitt, and Greene Countys?

Sorry, has nothing to do with your post except the title.

In the morning with the family

We'll take the family on vacation
When we think we need a change
And we'll cease the accusations with a smile
There'll be no reconciliation
When the kids are out of range
And we'll lose the affectations for a while

Sometimes at night
We grit our teeth
We grit our teeth
And try to dream
Sometimes at night
Sometimes at night
We spare the rod
We spare the rod
To spoil our lives
Sometimes at night
Sometimes at night

We know exactly what we're doing
And we'll hide it from the family fare
And we'll act like nothing's wrong
Until they're gone

We're only in it
We're only in it
We're only in it for the children
We're only in it
We're only in it
We're only in it for the children

You are reminding me how nice it is to be unemployed so I can run the Dragon's Tail or Crow Mountain on weekday mornings instead of fighting the weekend traffic.

I consider myself lucky when it comes to having some good roads near my home. I can pull out of the driveway and within 100 yrds is the start of a very nice short run through Mill Creek Park, not the greatest, but still fun. Just about 20 miles South (in Ohio) is another very good drive which is about 160 miles round trip. On occasion I go into Western Pa., as there are also some very good roads to have fun on in the "S".
Not a good idea to run any of these roads at night because of the deer and other critters .

Staying away from the congested highways is a big reason I live where I do. I don't drive any more sprited at night up here, in fact usually the opposite, as there are too many skunks, 'coons, rabbits, deer and bears sharing the roads. Levi
