Default Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself

Even when it hurts. I needed a shipping box to store some parts for the 60 year old sports car. And guess what Mr Fed Ex man walked up to house with an exact sized box, I opened the box and set the two bags of horse food pellets in the kitchen. I went to computer about 15 feet away when I heard noises coming from the kitchen. I walked up to the two bags setting on the kitchen floor and could hear what seemed like scratching and movement. I swore there must be a mouse in there. When the wife got home she called the company and they said they would send a new bag and asked if we could trying get a picture of the mouse for a quality control story.

Sorry to surprise you - there is no mouse picture. Just pellets spread on the roadway. I could not believe it. It must have been expansion and contraction of going from Michigan’s 52° to the house temp of 71° and the pellet taking their good old time settling in the heavy plastic bag. Naturally I told the company there would be no mouse picture. Just one of me in shock when the wife said you are aware each of those bags costs $80, right!!!

Oof.

Thanks for sharing a story that makes each of us feel just a little less dumb. OK...not so dumb. You DID see some suspicious movement. But I'm going to remember the story as something dumb just to help me through my own dumb mistakes.

Your experience is insignificant in comparison to a few of my past dumbs.
