I finally made it home to Houston today. I agree with all the above. A great time was had by all! Thanks, again, Ken for all your planning and work - and to everybody for making SF 17 such a wonderful meet. And I loved the drive. It is always great to see such wonderful friends every year. Next year, Ken?

Certainly agree with the many positive comments posted above. Another great Spring Fling, good to see so many terrific folks.
Special Thanks to Ken for the wonderful organizing (I gather he enjoys herding cats), Gene / Matt for laying out the great route for us to drive (and leading two of the groups) and Patty for the name tags.
Hope to see everyone at Gettysburg, if not sooner.

I agree with all of the above comments. However, Gene deserves all of the credit for mapping out the route. All I did on the reconnaissance trip a few weeks ago was to make trip notes of land marks for the turns.
It was great to see everyone again and to make some new friends (including our new "pre-vints"). Looking forward to seeing some of you at this years TomCatt run / and or S2K Days.
P.S. FWIIW: I stayed over on Sunday night and had planned to do some laundry as I was continuing to Long Island to visit with my Mother. When I went to check out I mentioned to the person at the desk that on Friday, I discovered that the hair dryer in the room was not working and on Sunday night when I went to the front desk to purchase laundry detergent and get change ($2.75 for the washer and dryer) they only had three quarters in the cash drawer. Hampton Inn has a satisfaction guarantee, I was NOT charged for my Sunday night stay.
