Spring Fling Thursday Night Dinner
I love VIetnamese food, and on an earlier pre-drive trip, I discovered this excellent restaurant in Hershey: Pho Miss Saigon
If any early arrivals are interested in joining me for dinner on Thursday night, please post here so I can make the reservations. (This is about a 20 minute drive from our hotel.)
I'm guessing we should leave around 6 or 6:30.
Attendees:
Gene (jukngene)
Ken (kgf3076)
Jim (S1997)
Ken (Zippy)
Nancy (Zippy +1)
Glenn (Jet sitter)
Carol (Jet sitter +1)
Dave (ddtt)
Bonnie (ddtt +1)
Roy (canberra)
Caole (canberra +1)
Maybe:
Matt (Matt_in_VA)
Barbara (Plant Pixie)
Jerry (paS2K)
Kathy (paS2K +1)
Closed at 11 confirmed attendees. "Maybe's" may be able to be accommodated after I talk to the restaurant.

Gene,
As you served "in country" I take it that you know good Vietnamese food when you run across it. My question is: Is this fairly authentic or "Americanized" Vietnamese food? As it is my understanding that it difficult to find "authentic" Asian food in most parts of the U.S.A. as most Americans will not eat authentic Asian food.
There is a Chinese Buffet place not far from our house that does have many authentic dishes (I.E. pigs ears, or tofu in hog's blood, etc). About 85% of their customers are Asian and the last time that I was there two bus loads of Chinese tourist pulled up and pigged out.
As the Plant Pixie has volunteered to put the "goody bags" together for SF14 perhaps we should come to PA on Thursday? Let me discuss this with her, as we may join you.

If I was going to be there in time for this, which I won't be even close for, I'd have to give it a go. I hear all about the yummies from the local car guys.
