Default Stainless Steel cleaner

For those of you trying to keep stainless steel surfaces fingerprint and smudge-free --- one more cleaner.

Saladmaster's Steel Steel Powered Cleaner. Applied with Mr Clean Magic eraser pads and a lot of elbow grease.

Saladmaster Stainless Steel cleaner.

Magic Eraser. Magic Eraser.

Never heard of Saladmaster utensils or their cleaner before. Thanks.

Try just a tiny bit of WD40 on a cloth. Just a little bit.Our housekeeper uses that and it works great. Another one is Barkeepers Friend. I use that on our outdoor bbq stand and on the Kamado (cast aluminum).

Weiman's Stainless Steel spray works, too. But, not as well as the Saladmaster powder.

Weiman Stainless Steel spray. Weiman Stainless Steel spray.

Gotta try those. I'll try anything. Darn stainless stays fingerprint-free for, like 2 days.

Gets irritating. I was going to get some Candy Apple Red enamel rattle cans and spray the darn things!

I use Weiman’s spray on our stainless steel sinks. Works ok. Use Barkeeper’s Friend on toliets, etc. Good stuff.

As for things like our brushed stainless steel frig. and other kitchen stuff I wipe off the fingerprints with a very light spray of Invisible Glass cleaner. Works wonders. Probably a similar effect to using WD40.

I think one of the things you do NOT want to do is putting any kind of polish or cleaner that brightens it….. just make things worse, like a car - make it too shiny and it shows every detail.

When I was an adolescent I was a cook in a large, very-high-end, seaside resort. It was a 22-man kitchen loaded (I mean everywhere.) with stainless steel. The cleaning crew would make a paste with baking soda and use it and some sort of mildly abrasive cloths to clean the stainless with distilled water. It seemed to work quite well.
