^ I would, too! I think the condominium alone would keep me busy for awhile. At least long enough to determine whether I want to continue. I'm most concerned about how to set up the contract part. I want to keep the whole paperwork side of it as simple as possible and concentrate on the fun stuff!

One challenge you may have is that people have very different tastes and styles and they may not be the same as yours. Would you be able to do a super contemorary theme as an example? Sourcing materials, furniture. Also conceptual design differs between the genres.

^ I agree that could be an issue. I guess I won't know until I try it! Maybe that will be part of providing my services for little/no cost at first. I do appreciate different styles, even if they are not my taste.

I am still learning how to use my new digital camera and hope to be able to send them once I know how.

I was at a local business meeting last night and talked with a neighbor about my design idea. He has met the new owner of a three-bedroom, three-bath place on my old floor (where he lives in same unit as mine. His wife wants to upgrade, too, so they may be down to check out my renovations.) He's going to give that new owner my number. It's a unit that has not been renovated at all, so plenty to do. We'll see if she calls me.

^ I spoke with the new owner last night. She is planning to do everything before she moves in. I have a feeling she will be overwhelmed with a kitchen and three baths. Plus she is planning to take down a wall and install hardwood floors. I personally would not put down hardwood because it has to be 80% covered by rugs (noise rules). Not to mention the parking sitch stinks for contractors, of which she will have many!

She owns a house she is living in until she moves into the new place. Then she will sell it. We talked about 30 minutes and she is coming down next week to look at what I've done with the kitchen and the two baths. She won't be using Dave, since he's not available. I may go with her to the marble and bath places to introduce her to my contacts and help her out if she wants. Ease my way into the biz.
