Back home safely. The day's only excitement was being locked out of our room (lock was being obnoxious from the time we checked in.... finally went on permanent strike before we checked out). Took about an hour for the 'crew' to destroy the thing with a drill (sigh), Ain't technology grand?
Great to see everyone. Thanks, Ken..... for the organization, the weather, and your assistance. Did I mention the weather? WOW! Maybe mid-week gatherings are the secret.
There sure were a lot of funny' looking S2000's on hand..... all of them sporting a much deeper rumble than our little 4-cyl rockets
A GREAT time!

Hi everyone that attended. It was great to see every one again.
i went on to meet up with some friends that are on the pit crew of a NASCAR Whelans Cup modified car (650 HP) at a race today at the South Boston Speedway in Southern VA. At one point their car was running third (especially after narrowly missing a shunt in T-3 that took our five cars and red flagged the race. In the end their car came in twelve in the 150 lap main event. I am NOT an oval track fan (especially short tracks), but having the experience of being with the pit crew and experiencing watching the cars turning 13-14 second lap times (102 - 110 MPH) on a .4 mile banked oval was an interesting experience.
P.S. I have long stated that if it burns fossil fuel and races I may very well watch it. I proved this to myself on a business trip to Germany about a decade ago. I was staying in a hotel that did not have access to any English speaking TV channels. I found myself watching the German speaking version of ESPN watching of all things: Chain saw racing from the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. with German commentary.

Made it home around 8 pm Sunday (7.5 hour drive), after working the Richmond Kickers Jefferson Cup Boys College Showcase over the weekend.
Great friends make these events worthwhile. Ken, you always set up great events. We can't thank you enough.
Brought home a cracked windshield from the Wednesday drive out. I'll hang on to it and have it replaced before the Spring Dragon rally.
