Staycation! Vacation at home
I'm off this week. Rick is working
Though he was told he won't have to wait for vacation time, he's not ready to take a week yet. So, I'm staying at home, keeping busy and plan on enjoying my own backyard, and beyond.
Here is my hotel. I have a lovely room, but it could use a dusting.
(too nice to be indoors cleaning)

First on the list. Some gardening. I enjoy it. Rick starts the plants from seed, so I don't have many flowers yet, but here are some that are in bloom.

Still more to plant tomorrow, but quit around noon. Drove about 15 miles to South Dartmouth, MA, to the ocean. Time to stick my toes in the sand. That and ocean sounds soothe me. Yes, it's a picture of my feet.

Here are some of the beach flowers.

And the beach. It's not a big beach, but the water is always clear. We don't live in the town, so during the season, I can't go to this beach unless I want to pay $25.00/day! We have spent a lot of time at this beach in the past as my sis did live in that town. In the background is Col Green's mansion. It's now condo's. Lots of history there. Link at the end of the post.

I think this is a tidal pool of some sorts. It's popular with the little kids in the summer.

While trying to get some pics, I didn't notice this plant!! It that leaves of three??

Just in case it was poison ivy, I immediately got my feet wet.

That sums up day #1. Not exactly lifestyles of the rich and famous, but living so close to the ocean has it's advantages. The trip there in the S was most enjoyable. Weather forecast for the week is good.
Hopefully, I'll hit another beach or some local sites. Stay tuned.

that is indubitably poison ivy.
trust me I became a bit of an expert on the topic as a kid, including a visit to the ER for it which is what happens when most of your body gets covered in it.

vacation pics! You have really short toes.

Hope they aren't covered in poison ivy in a couple of days......
Tomorrow, I may head to the beach in Westport, MA. This beach is just a few miles away from where the Nor'Easter will be headquartered.
Oh and cost for the vacation so far, about $5.00 in gas for the S.
