One of my favorite driving songs.

 

That one's a Jackson Browne tune. I think it's on the "For Everyman" LP which also features "Redneck Friend". I think the whole album is pretty remarkable.

Okay: Raymo, you're Matt. Its still one of my faves. I heard it on the radio this morning.

 

The first time I saw the Eagles they were the opening act for the Alman Brothers band. They played this song, which was their only hit at the time. Ah the memories.

Was that when Duane Allman and Barry Oakley were still alive? I never had a chance to see the AB's until after they died.

 

Was that at a seance or something?

 

It did sort of seem that way. The band continued on after they died and are still touring now I believe. But I've never heard anyone else play slide guitar like Duane.

 

 

It was an excellent song but it got far too much airplay. For me, though interesting, the song became very hard to listen to. I'd simply heard it too many times. Even good songs suffer from overexposure.
