No fish? Well, looks like everyone had a good time anyway. Well hosted, LB. Well documented, Lainey.

We shall call Bill, the "surprised, but gracious" host. One of the younger crew mentioned we should head down there. He got the wheels in motion and Bill kindly went along. We did need him to drive the boat, not sure if he would have given any of us the keys.

I was happy to get a message from somebody saying they'd like to see me! (Even if they just wanted a boat ride.)

Hey Bill, just like with the grandkids, (once they grow up) sometimes we gotta take what we can get.
BTW the granddaughter wanted to spend time with us on Sunday evening. We offered to feed her dinner at our home and she mentioned she'd like to go out. It WAS Grandparents' Day on Sunday, so we picked up the tab. I'm not sure if that was the way it was supposed to work.
