Default Tight Credit?

Have you been receiving loan guarantee's from Citibank and other bailed out (TARP) banks? Just yesterday I received 3 offers. One was no interest for 12 months, another was 3% for two years, and the last one was 6.99% for 60 months.

I was listening to a business news program this mornng and this is the Geithner plan to get people, with high credit scores, to borrow money. The problem with it, is that nobody is biteing.

not bailout related, but still cheap money:

one of my credit cards had a variable rate tied to prime. they finally increased it after the rate sat below 5% for several months. that's my discover credit card, not a loan. my car loan rate is actually a little bit higher, at just over 5%. so i carried a fat balance over month to month until they announced the rate would go up. i paid it off immediately

Not sure what I get. Any of those go straight to the recycle bin in the mail room. I have all the credit I need/want.

Deb,
We open and shred them.
I'm just a little a little paranoid about somebody else getting their hands on that app and using it.

We shred the stuff with personal information on it, then compost the shredded paper. The rest goes into the recycle bin. Paranoid or careful?

Ray,

Would you please call me (443 421-6826)? All of my replies to your emails keep getting bounced back, including today's. Your return email address does not work nor does anything else I have.

Rick
