This short article and pictorial of the top 20 sales in Scottsdale this year is a good, quick read. You will note that some of the top 20 were charity auctions which can't really be used to judge the value of the vehicle or the market in general. I found it interesting that one of the top sellers is something of a replica. And related to that, I also not that no matter how many replica 427 Cobras are sold and built, the real thing still demands big bucks. Finally, the Porsche 550 tells us that even a car that is quite inexpensive to reproduce can be worth a fortune if it is an original.
