The predictions were spot on. The snow has been falling since about 11 PM last night (11-10-18) and is not slowing down yet, at 10 AM (11-11-18).

Ick!! What's the next few days though? At this time of year don't you still get some warmer days so the snow doesn't last too long?

Snow doesn't last too long here. Tomorrow will still be freezing but high predictions are Tuesday at 48 F and Wednesday at 56 F.

My asphalt driveway is great at melting the snow even now when it's still 30 F.

Lainey it is so dry out there it evaporates really quickly.
Plus she is a lot further south than we are, almost equal with Penn-Maryland border
a lot more sun.

More sun would work for me! It was chilly today, but we attended the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial in town and while Rick watched football, I headed to my little happy place, the trail in the woods. Winter coat has made an appearance.

When I lived in southern California it was super easy for them to predict. It was 75 to 78 or whatever the range for the high was, and the lows didn't vary by more than six degrees so I think it was really hard for them to screw up.
Where I am in Vermont it changes in elevation. I work on a ski mountain so when I left on Friday it was snowing and there was a little over an inch of snow on the ground. I live at the base of the mountain when I got home there was a half of an inch on the ground. The next morning I went shopping at the nearest big town which is about 14 miles away and at a lower elevation and they had no snow on the ground.
So we have to kind of read between the lines with the weather forecast as it can vary by location.

It's low 70s here and the sun is out, but we can't see it. Smoke from the Paradise fire 150 miles away is still in the air, blotting out the sun. Predicted to remain this way most of the week. I feel bad for the residents 6000+ homes burned, but this is not great either. No rain in the forecast. Between last year and this it seems the whole state has burned.

^No kidding. And this time people have been burned to death, too.

Could see some snowflakes here Thurs...unusual for Nov. Also, the prediction is for much more snow this winter than we have seen the past few years - 16-24" inside the Beltway.
