Woo-hew!! Finally repaired my furnace after waiting over 5 days for the electronic igniter, even though an overnight delivery was requested and paid for. It seems nice to have direct heat rather than relying on the gas fireplaces and oven heat particularly in the upper rooms where the lower level’s radiant heating wasn’t too effective. Our electric mattress pad got a real workout - two of the nights were sub-zero and another at five degrees. There were no heat sources during sleeping hours due to my mistrust of fireplaces and space heaters - the morning inside temps on the sub-zero mornings averaged 55 degrees.
It was also hazardous to travel outside of Denver. There were hazardous road conditions in all directions on a daily basis due to fast moving snow storms, avalanches in the mountains, heavy fog, and ice due to frigid overnight temps.
All of my acquaintances and I want spring to arrive, and soon!

I don't ski anymore so I don't have a lot of use for the snow anymore.
I'm looking forward to the spring. Ordered new clubs yesterday.
The Beast is patiently waiting in the garage.
10 days 'til spring, let's go.

I'm hoping we've turned the corner to spring, but in New England, one never knows.
We had a gorgeous March day yesterday mid 40s very little wind. We got out and enjoyed. Today was snow, rain, more rain, but the temps are now mid 40s and moving up. I'll take it!

I apologize Dave, I should have taken the night time shot from Starr Pass overlooking Tucson for you.

My new, since December, Google Pixel 3, has a night shot setting that really does a great job. It tells you to hold still while it takes a few photos over, maybe 5 seconds, and then combines them. It also has a portrait mode that blurs the background. Here is an example of a photo I took yesterday with the portrait mode.

My backyard is still like a giant ice cube I can't get to my garage unless I take the street to get there.
