Then again, you like it hot and I don't so maybe you don't use the A/C as much as I do.
But in winter the car has a longer warm up time, and is less efficient until such time as the fluids are fully warm. We have winter blend fuel in our region which kills fuel economy, we will be switching to summer blend fuels in spring. Lastly, cold oxygen dense air in winter requires more fuel to maintain proper air-fuel ratios, more power but more fuel. The best fuel economy numbers were ever see are on the hottest days of the year, hotter air is less dense, so less fuel being mixed with it. Winter tires may not help either. Basically winter conditions kill fuel economy 20-30% generally speaking.
Oh no, winter fuel economy is much worse. Also , automotive AC saps very little engine power, unlike a home air conditioning. Most experts say using AC in summer at highway speeds uses less fuel than driving with the windows open.

Definitely a different animal yes.

^3-26-2026. Two days ago, on Wednesday, the high was 91° after a low of 53°. Yeah Colorado has a mind of its own but I think this is also global warming doing its thing in.
