Hi everyone, my name is Leslie. May I join you? I am almost 52 (when did that happen ) I bought my '09 BB from a member here in May, with 13k, and now still under 15k...the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway are on top on my bucket list. My car has already been without me (previous owner went to RTD.) I live near Orlando with my husband and a slew of critters including bunnies, horses, cats and a parrot. I came by my love of cars honestly, growing up with 3 car crazy brothers. I still can't get over how much fun my S is... It's nice to have kindred spirits here!
I am bumping this post because I had the pleasure of meeting Leslie at the just concluded Rock the Dragon event. I talked to her about Vintage, and based on a couple comments she made, went searching for her here. She is an excellent photographer and great driver, and posted some great photos she took on the drives. I have encouraged her to join in posting here, but one thing she said gave me pause. And that is that we all seem to know each other personally (which a lot of us do,) but sometimes we don't tend to include the newbies in our conversations, etc. I hope she sees fit to post here, and contribute her photos and her bird sightings as well.

Gene, you are too kind. I was coming to look around again and saw your post. I was so glad to meet you at RtD, and also reacquaint myself with a couple others that come on here. Now, a few folks will actually know who I am, which feels good.

I just realized I had never properly introduced myself on this part of S2ki. My name is David. I own a 2001 Yellow S2k with about 140,000 miles on it, set up for STR. I have owned it since 2014 and my wife(who is awesome/crazy enough to ride down to nats and spend the week even though she does not autox) have probably met a few folks on here in person at Nats the past few years.
