But today I got an early Christmas present. My PSA score (blood taken yesterday) came back at .026 which is really good (should be between zero and .1) so it appears that all those nasty cells are out of my body. No radiation or other treatments are called for, just PSA testing every six months. Wahoo and Yippee.

Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014 to all my Vintage friends.

That is good great awesome news.

Driving yet? I drove the day after the catheter was removed, have been back at work since the first of November.
Still a joy every time I start that engine. (and no tickets yet)

Thank you all for comments above.

My family member has survived his first week of radiation without any side effects. Those are supposed to show up in later weeks - fatigue and skin sensitivity being two of them. Not sure about others. The good news is the side effects from the chemo have abated.

Good news, Deb.

The fatigue from radiation can be tough to deal with, according to my co-worker. The plus side was that it was easier to deal with than chemo. The surrounding tissues take a beating. None of it is easy. My best to your brother in law.

My co-worker will be back at work next week.

^^That's incredible. Now why didn't my german shepherd tell me instead of having to have all those biopsies??

Since MsPerky brought this thread to life, I'm happy to report my last PSA test was about zero. I say about, because they reported .008 which is the lowest value they can read, and it could have been anywhere between 0.00 and .008, so they just put .008 down.
