Default vintage owner!

well, it seems this is as good a place as any to wish myself five happy years of s2000 ownership....signed the papers and drove away from the dealership oct 16, 1999...the car still runs as new and is as much fun to drive as the first day...on the other hand it's lucky owner has also aged five years as well [creak]...the old s2k has outlived a lotus super seven, a 356 coupe and roadster ,an mga coupe and a beck spyder..all bought and sold during the honda's tenure..currently a 308 gt4 ferrari shares the driveway and is ok for an occasional quick red rush but the svelt silver hondacar still holds the top spot in my book....one happy old fart here!!

edit; OK OK...six years...gimme a break; i'm old.

Happy anniversary from one old fart to another. Man, you had some great cars. Beats the hell out of a driveway full of Nash Ramblers and Henry Js!

Well, I agree!! Very nice stable of cars...not sure of your birthday, but, if by some chance you have hit the big 4-0, you can make your Vintage membership official by posting to this thread:

Outstanding! You've come to the right place. Car enthusiasts hang in this forum. Welcome and congratulations on your hopefully trouble free miles in the past and in the future with your S2000!

Congratulations on your six years of ownership.

I'm curious, how many miles have you put on your S?

Hey dbw, haven't seen you in a while.
Actually you are at six years of ownership (like me). I actually put a deposit on mine~20 Oct 99, but I was going on vacation and didn't pick it up until 2 Nov.

Congrats.

well..to answer the age question ,let's say my math skills are fading..or is that denial?..can't remember...SIX YEARS ????? shoot; had i realized that, i would have kept quiet....LB;..the 550 was a thunder ranch i built myself..a nice car and fast but way too single purpose even for me..the cycle was "drive me-it's a nice day and i'm fun"...after a couple of hours i was beat up, windblown, near deaf...parked it till the memory faded..then the sirens song again...finally it was easier to sell it..proceeds went towards the f-car,[ a bit of the same actually..with a top]..

zippy; actually i picked the car up,drove it home, garaged it, and left the next day for japan [where s2k's were all over tokyo]..i think i came back nov 3rd for a emotional automotive reunion...detail;my wife had been in japan finishing her post-doc and didn't quite know she was returning to a new silver car..oops!
