And here I was thinking your house would not be affected. Glad they made it home and the water did not come in the house! I remember your talking about the water table in Houston. I guess there was just no place for it all to go.

Glad to hear that all are safe.

Wow, what an ordeal for Chris and her friend.

I'm glad that they made it back home safely and that Tara and Nick are safe, too.

Has Chris been able to get her car back or is it still parked somewhere else?

Glad Chris and her friend were OK, Jim. Does not sound like a fun evening at all.

Glad your house is OK too.

Just finished talking to Chris. It was a crazy night, but water did not come past the garage door, apparently. And it receded as fast as it came up. The day started out sunny, so it was a very sudden storm and flooding. She got home at 5:30 am. Doesn't want any more excitement like that again.

It’s another day of rain. It seems as though overcast skies and rain have become a daily occurrence in an area normally flooded with sunshine. Last night we had severe thunder storms with reports of baseball sized hail and tornadoes -- just ten miles north of where I live the local media reported that over 9 inches of rain fell within an hour’s time.

Whoa! As I was typing this the rain suddenly stopped and the sun came out...weird.

Had some big thunderstorms last night. Lots of rain. Our heat wave continues with upper 80s to mid 90s for the next week at least. Summer is here!

We're getting a little blow by from that storm out in the gulf. It's sure made for some pretty sunrises the last couple days but we've had 6" of rain that came in afternoon deluges.
