As part of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. A big place with three buildings and parking in South Central LA. Concertina wire all the way around, security cameras everywhere, two armed guards with 9 mm pistols and Kevlar vests, and two huge safes. The owner gave me a $900 deposit with $20 bills that a cash machine counted out in about two seconds. A steady stream of people with cash and ID cards going in and coming out with envelopes. Really interesting.

I had an opportunity to invest in a Colorado venture. I ran away quickly.

It was the conversion of a private riding arena and ranch in the middle of nowhere into a growhouse. All hydroponics and pre sold product contracts. There was lots of security.

Not my thing but it did appear there was some pretty good elk hunting on the property.
